His first day

It is Jamie's first day in kindergarden. He has been happy and eager to go as been holding on to his bag and uniform for the past week.

So this morning, I sent him to his kindergarden and initially planned to stay with him but in the end I left him with the teacher.

I did peeped from far away before I left him. His teacher also sent this couple of photos to me. Jamie has settled down after I have gone.

Hope he would be fine from now onwards. Good boy, Jamie. Mummy and Daddy are proud of you.

He is 3!

Jamie is 3 today!!

It felt like yesterday I gave birth to him in Sibu hospital, and he spent his 1st year in Sibu before moving back to Kuching.

A smart pants, he is the "prince" of the house. Everyone adores and loves him.

Happy birthday, Jamie!

Sunday snaps in the park

It was a beautiful Sunday not to enjoy and appreciate the beauty of nature.

Look at Jamie, happily posing for the camera in Reservoir Park.

He is in class

After CNY, we decided to bring Jamie to Sunday school.

Actually we tried last year but he was moody and cried. Probably he was unfamiliar with the environment and people. Or he was still small and did not understand all this.  So we decided to give it a try again last month.

We have been to 2 classes and so far it was alright although Jamie did not mingle around with others.

When it comes to arts and food time, he was more than happy to sit quietly on the chair.

For time being, I would accompany him to Sunday school.

Jan and Jay are busy rehearsing for the Sunday School's Sunday concert which is happening next month. Both has been in Sunday school for almost a year and are in different classes.

Jesus said,"Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these. ~ Matthew 19:14

The youngest is 2 years old

Look how my youngest has grown up!

The little boss in the house, he has grown up to be one feisty and smart boy.

He enjoys noodle, fries and fruits. Now he still drink 180 ml milk plus a spoonful of cereal.

Jamie always full of surprises and tantrums. Not a day we grow tired of him. He loves to disturb his siblings and follow what they do and say. He is a good impersonator and parrot!

His famous words now are "What is this?" Very babbling boy. Not only a chatterbox, but his shriek could be annoying sometimes.

He can feed himself quite well. Most of the times, he would not want me to feed him; he wants to do himself. And he is never fond to strangers. Although he received lots of compliments, he hardly warm up easily to strangers. He never takes food or stuff from those unknown to him. Smart boy!

Lately he has been very bad boy. Maybe the "Terrible 2" kicked in faster than we expected. He loves to watch tv and at night, he must have the tv on till he dozes off. One night we disallowed him to watch as he tends to lie down and watch instead of sitting. So he threw a very terrible tantrum and drama. He cried for more than an hour. He does not listen to reason.

What ever it is, we think it is time to train and teach him well. He can be naughty and stubborn as he is the youngest. Whatever he wants, he gets it. So, wish me luck in that. Sure not going to be a smooth journey I reckon.

Not much of a celebration this year unlike last year where we celebrated by having Japanese buffet.

But we got a small cake for him. He got to blow the candles and cut the cake!! He did get a bit cranky at 1st because he thought he did not get to eat the cake. Lol. But happy ending in the end with digging into his cake.

A big Happy Birthday to Jamie!! We love you.

My almost 2-years old and his words

My youngest is turning 2 in 2 months time. He is at the precious and adorable age where everything he does and words he says are cute. A real chatterbox; he is very chatty and bubbly at all times.

He likes attention and always want to be the "boss" around his older siblings. He can be nuisance and protective of his stuff but most of the times, the older siblings will let him win.

His current favourite words are "okay" and "please".  He starts to talk in 3 words such as "I want eat" and "Look at stay".

He loves fruits especially dragon fruits, grapes and bananas. When he wants fruits, he will say "cut please" as he wants me to cut for him.

Jamie also loves airplane. He will spot any planes in the sky every time we are out.

Now he would want to the 1st at the door when we go out or come home. No jump queue please! Lol.

Happy 20 months Jamie

Yes. I know. This mummy has been super lazy in updating his progress but worry not. Here is what Jamie has been through and learnt.

Vocabulary
More into his vocabulary. Some words included fish (he says "fi"), water (he says "ter"), cookie, key, car, lorry, no, sit, down, up, eat, sleep, take, tv, cheese (he says "chee"). He still talk in his baby language so I need to slowly converted those words to English and Chinese.

Greeting
He is a sweet talker. Greet his grandparents, aunt and uncle. Everyone adores him.

Up and down
He can climb up and down the staircases by himself!!

Doodle
Loves to hold pen and pencil and doodle on paper. Luckily he has not into wall doodling (yet!)

Interest
Jamie loves to go out. Everytime he sees us getting ready to go out, he will take his shoes so we could wear for him.
He started to show interest on tv. His favourite Disney series are Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Hi-5.
Jamie loves to listen to songs and dance to the tune.

Jamie tends to be an observer when with people. He does not talk much with others but at home he can be very babbling and noisy. He has a mind of his own. He can be bossy and demand everyone's attention. But we love him every bits!

And last week we brought him to his 1st ever beach outing!! He was afraid of the sand and waves at 1st but after that he was at ease and enjoy his 1st beach outing and staycation.

1st Sunday school

Jamie's first time attending Sunday school today. He was super excited and wondering what the event was about.

He minded his own business while others were quiet listening to the teaching.

Each of them was in different classes and I have to accompany Jamie. Jan and Jay were doing fine in their respective groups.

Again he was busy doing his own exploration. When it comes to food time, he was fast to get a chair and eat his food.

Glad he enjoyed his first Sunday school.

Having a blogger mom + my thought

One thing about having a blogger as a mom? I got documented since birth to every milestones and birthdays.

I am going to be 19-months old in less than 2 weeks time.

I have always been a feisty baby but most of the times, curiosity gets the better of me. I never say never to anything till I try it.

I am headstrong, stubborn and has a temper of a bull, mummy said. And I also love to scream. Mummy said I have a very high-pitch shriek that could shatter the glasses! But I know deep inside, I am my mummy's boy.

Next year, I will be going to school, mummy told me. Guess I have been too naughty or disobedient at home and mummy want to send me off to school. But I would be happy to meet new friends, socialise and learn more things in school.

For now, mummy is home-schooling me but most of the times, I never listen to her. Prefer to play with balls and blocks than those ABC and 123. But I like to doodle whenever I can grab a pencil.

I also started to be potty-trained. Still not able to aim properly into the potty and I prefer to wet the floor. Not in time to reach the potty.

My birthday is 5 months away. Wonder anything special on my birthday? We shall find out.

18 months old

I know, I am late in updating Jamie's progress. He is just over 18 months old now. Just could not believe it that 6 months down the road, he is going to be 2!! Wow! Time really fly fast.

Now you see his hair...

And now, you don't!

I love it when he has his head bold but I do not like to bring him to barber. He cried when he had his head shaved.

But after that he forgot the experience and started to explore around without us carrying him. He loves to walk.

Bought a new bike for big brother but ended up, Jamie rides it more. He looks like pro, don't you think?

And another thing he loves? Dragon fruits. He could eat a whole fruit all by himself.

Nom...nom....nom

Jamie loves to eat. He is not as choosy as the other siblings. We just let him eat whatever he want. No restriction.

However his eating preference did changed lately. Used to enjoy noodle and rice but now he ate few spoonful and then show no interest in them. Probably with the cny, he was busy having a great time eating those goodies that he hardly ate rice at home. Only when we dine outside, he would eat more rice and noodles.

He currently into sweet food. Ate quite a lot of crackers and yam sticks. His favourite is sausages.

Here are the latest photos of him enjoying his food.

16 months old

Jamie is 16 months old now. He can walk well and not wobbly around. Bought him a new pair of shoes today so he could walk when ever he is outdoor.

He also grow more teeth now, including the lower molar. I tried to count his teeth but Jamie is reluctant to open his mouth for me.

He loves to eat more solid food now. Noodle is his favourite food.

His favourite song is "Let it go" from the Frozen movie. He just could not get enough of the song!

Jamie loves to take photos. He loves to be cute too.

Just after New Year

Naughty Jamie. What a way to usher the new year. He got hurt by climbing yesterday morning. He was very fast. One minute I saw him played by himself and when I were in the bathroom, I heard him cried hysterically. Jay said he climbed the bed and slipped.

Now he got himself a cut lower lip and bruised upper gum but it should heal by itself in a couple of days.

This was the 2nd incident. In the first one, he hit his upper gum and bled. This time, it is more serious.

Stair crawler

One thing about young toddler at home is he has never been tired out. Always full of energy and curiosity. He is up to any mischief or adventure any time that he can be let loose.

But there is one thing that I dread the most is staircase. Jamie just love to climb the staircases lately. What worry me the most is that he may misstep and fall. He did managed to climb all the way to the upper floor once when we were back here in September.

Look at my cheeky boy.

His 1st Christmas tree

Jamie got his 1st Christmas tree!

Who does not love a Christmas tree?

He got to see how it was set up, decorated and get to see the blinking light around it. The only question is would the tree lasted that long till Christmas before his itchy hands disturb or destroy it? ^^
