The siblings

10, 7 and 3 respectively, they are sure growing up fast.

I love them for who they are.
The eldest being big sister taking charges of the younger siblings.  A responsible  and independent girl, she could be timid at one time but a very sensitive and caring person.
The second child is more playful and requires attention but he has his own interest and talents.  This year, he has been more experimental with recycled things and creating something out of them. Some day he shows his sentimental side of him that surprise you at all.
The youngest is the handful one.  Cheeky and with his own tantrum, but he is loved by everyone. A personality of his own, he is the baby of the house.
Our house.  What would it be without these 3??

He is 3!

Jamie is 3 today!!

It felt like yesterday I gave birth to him in Sibu hospital, and he spent his 1st year in Sibu before moving back to Kuching.

A smart pants, he is the "prince" of the house. Everyone adores and loves him.

Happy birthday, Jamie!

Her 1st outdoor activity

This was Jan's 1st outdoor activity organised by her Girl's Brigade and together with other uniform clubs in her school.

Jan has been very excited and looked forward to this event for weeks. She wanted to experience the fun and games with her friends.

So, few days before the actual day, I helped her to pack her stuff.  Each students have list of what to bring for the overnight.

I dropped her off in her school yesterday afternoon around 1pm and came back to check on her at 5pm.  The tents have been set up in the lobby and everyone was busy marching in the hall.  And the rain started to pick up that time so it was a cold night.  Luckily they put up the tents in the lobby, not the garden as the initial plan was.  But it was a cold night.  Luckily Jan has her sleeping bag so it was comfy and warm for her.

I got to catch her and her camping mates after the marching.  Look how happy the girls were?

First visit to dentist

He complained of teeth ache yesterday. Then it was alright but Jay complained it was painful this afternoon.

A visit of dentist has been long overdue. So for the first time, Jay went to a dentist this afternoon.

Nervous and curious at the same time. But in the end after checking, dentist prescribed gel to put on his gum. No filling or pulling needed.

The day before school

How happy that the kids are back to school!! No more messes and less arguments in the house.

We spent a couple of days in Sri Aman, then went to Lundu for its beach. And tuition and afternoon classes started again last week. Jay was not well last Friday but happy that he has recovered in time for school.

Yesterday, everyone woke up early. Slightly after 7am and since the weather was good, we went to the nearby park for a morning walks and exercises.

Kids were sweating out. Everyone did.

In the evening, we went to the pool to cool ourselves down. The water was nice and warm. Everyone has a big splash and water fight.

At night, the kids had an early night. Even Jamie dozed off after the bath from the pool.

When is the next long school holiday? Would not be that soon, I think.

What they did in April

Kids were busy rehearsing for their 1st church repertoire

Never ending schoolworks, spellings and revisions. Noticed that more schoolworks for Jay this semester.

Tuition centre hunting for the kids and glad we found one nearby.

Weather is turning warm and one evening I treated them to a cooling sweet dessert of yogurt ice-cream

Jan went for her grade 2 piano exam, which she passed with merit of 135/150 marks

Kids entered a colouring competition on one Sunday morning

Celebrated Jan's 10th birthday with a lunch treat and birthday cake

They have time to play together and some nights, everyone has sleepover in my room.

She is 10!

My girl is hitting the double mark. She is turning the big 10 today!

Jan is a big girl now. Just feel like yesterday when my first born slept quietly in my arms and now she is no longer that small. She is in between a child and pre-teen. A tough transition with all those stubbornness.

May God bless you with good health, joy, good and kind heart and wonderful things in life. We love you.

Happy 10th birthday, Jan!

Sunday snaps in the park

It was a beautiful Sunday not to enjoy and appreciate the beauty of nature.

Look at Jamie, happily posing for the camera in Reservoir Park.

Barber's cut

One day during the school holiday I brought the kids for their hair cut. The boys prefer the traditional barber shop for their hair cut.

This old barber shop is very antique. Uses old stuff that you could not see around anymore.

First thing first, some snack for the youngest one. He must have snack while have his hair cut. Tough customer he is.

Jay was happily sitting in the seat.

The swimmer in him

Jamie loves to swim.

Actually it has been months since we brought the kids to the pool. However last Saturday as Jan had her swimming class (after a month of absence), we brought the other 2 for a swim.

How happy Jamie was!! He kicked, he splashed, he drank the water!

Hope the weather would be good on weekends to allow the kids for a good fun in the pool.

He is in class

After CNY, we decided to bring Jamie to Sunday school.

Actually we tried last year but he was moody and cried. Probably he was unfamiliar with the environment and people. Or he was still small and did not understand all this.  So we decided to give it a try again last month.

We have been to 2 classes and so far it was alright although Jamie did not mingle around with others.

When it comes to arts and food time, he was more than happy to sit quietly on the chair.

For time being, I would accompany him to Sunday school.

Jan and Jay are busy rehearsing for the Sunday School's Sunday concert which is happening next month. Both has been in Sunday school for almost a year and are in different classes.

Jesus said,"Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these. ~ Matthew 19:14

It dropped!!

Jay's baby tooth was shaking for few weeks. His first shaking tooth waiting to be dropped off.

And today in school, his baby tooth dropped off while he was eating.

And how happy was he to show me his toothless smile and his 1st baby tooth. Big boy already.

He goes to canteen

I were surprised when Jay asked pocket money from me this week. I prepared his snack box so he would not be acquiring anything but he has been insisting on money. Anyway, I gave him RM2 last night.

I knew he has been eating in canteen during recess as his sister went down to his classroom looked for him few times and spotted him in canteen with his classmates.

This morning both sister and brother agreed to meet up and eat together in canteen during recess time. It would take Jan few minutes to go down from the very top floor to the canteen so Jay would be at the canteen earlier than her.

So, when Jan reached canteen, she saw Jay with a packet of noodle, sitting on the bench waiting for her. He bought his 1st food from canteen! His 1st purchase, using money to pay for something all by himself.

I am proud of him. Make me want to shed tears. Lol.

Back to school

The kids are back to school and 1st week of school has just over!!!

Jay on his 1st day of school with Jan. Both looked happy to go to school.

Jay in his Primary 1 class. By then he looked anxious but fortunately his young class lady teacher is good so he did not complained much for the time being.

Still on orientation so Jay would not be studying his textbooks and having homeworks for the 1st 3 weeks.

As for Jan, she would be busier as ever as she is entering P4. Been chosen to be class monitor this year and there would be extra-curriculum in the afternoon. She is planning to join Girl's Brigade.

So, happy schooling!
