His new diet

Lately our house is smelled of kimchi.  Big J lately has been crazy about kimchi diet.  He knows that eating kimchi is good for health and also can help in weight management.  Big J has been trying to lose some weight but since this year he has been so busy with work that he did not have time to exercise and almost every night come back late from drinking and entertaining.

Tonight he just bought home a pack of kimchi he from Seoul Garden.  The kimchi does smell nice but I do not fancy its taste.

Big J has been taking kimchi for more than a week now.  I remember when we went to Korea few years ago he did not taking much kimchi back then.  But now for health and diet, he has taken a liking for kimchi.  Hope it works for Big J!!

Relax

It is weekend again and it has comes to a habit for Big J that he would stay at home and does not want to come out on weekend.  He enjoyed his weekend so much that he can stay the whole day watching movies, cycling, swimming and jogging in the neighbourhood.

His new girlfriend is this bike.  It is a gift from my dad, and he has been riding it to go out to the shops sometimes.  Save petrol and good way to exercise too.

So Saturday and Sunday is a very relaxing days to him.  He did not even want to pick up his handphones on weekend.  So who ever want to find him, has to call me.  Lol!   His telephone operator now.

Unwell and unlucky

It was a bad day yesterday.  Big J had a car accident after office hour.  Just bad luck.

Big J has been feeling unwell lately.  Dizziness and tired.  Has been nagging him to go for medical check up and after things happened then he will go for check up.  We suspected he has high blood pressure.  My SIL advise me to make juices from small bitter gourd, green apple and carrots to reduce his high blood pressure.  Will go hunt for small bitter gourds in wet market tomorrow when going to market with my mum.  Not every day we can find people selling small bitter gourds.

So yesterday it happened that baby sitter need to attend a wedding dinner and I requested Big J to pick the kids earlier.  He is supposed to do check up yesterday morning but busy at work.  Since his office is nearer and I could not leave my shop unattended as my staff is having off day.  But Big J suddenly not feeling well and dizzy while driving, and could not in time to brake.  So hit another car from behind.  Luckily no one is hurt.

Lesson learnt!  Never do things last minute and health is always important than work.

At the cross road again

After many days of holiday, he suddenly told me this morning that he was in dilemma.  He needs my support and understanding.  He is tired of on-going things.

Once again he is at that cross road again.

He wants to quit his job and move into property development.

He is tired of those backstabbing people in the office.

He wants to start a business and we can become husband and wife company.

But again, we needs to think rationally and economically as it is not the right time.

We do not want to lose something that we have for now, because we cannot afford to do so.  Give it another year.

Either way, we would like to devote our times to family and to things that we love to do.

Which ever path he may choose, I will always by his side.  Because at the end of the day, my family is matter the most.

His new toy

Big J bought an iPad yesterday. His new toy I said, but according to him, it is his "rice bowl". Depend on it to earn money. Lol!

Princess and Baby Jay were pretty excited to try on daddy's new toy and I have to warn Big J not to get so loose on the gadget. Knowing my two kids, they can destruct a thing in few seconds. Lol! Anyway, Princess had a taste of first ipad this morning before going to school by playing Angry Bird games on daddy's new iPad. And my oh my, I never knew she is so tech-savvy than me. I still not so good with those touch-screen gadgets.

Happy anniversary

Big J and I are different. Really the Mars and Venus thinggy.

He is passionate, rational and wise. He does thing slowly. I am just the opposite. I guess that is why people say opposite attraction is.

We may think and do things differently but once a while, we love to do things together. Like cooking a decent meal for the family. Or just go to our favourite cafe and enjoy the food we love.

Another aspect that we both think alike (not so agree but we compromise) is the way we raise our child. We believe that we need to connect with our children and involve in their lives. Although we are both busy with our respective works, we try to make some "quality" times for our two kids. Both need our attention and affection. I may be wrong (correct me if I do), most couple's argument concerning either money or children. Every household have the same problem and mine is not an exception. It is hard not to talk about such things, so some compromises are important in any relationships. We have been married more than 5 years and yet every day I am still learning to compromise with hubby.

How to keep our love stronger? It needs two hands to clap. We learn to give and take. Give times to each other, listen and talk to him and children, do the things we like and not forgetting, lots of love and hugs every day! *wink*

Happy Anniversary, darling!

Shoulder pain

Big J has been having shoulder (or should I said, joint) pain for past month. He did not do anything about it, other than getting inflammation and pain killer from doctor and a body massage few weeks ago. The pain still there and sometimes it get worse.

I told him to look for Chinese sinseh, hopefully he would be able to diagnose what is the problem. Sometimes feel like dragging him but I do not have times. Weekday he works till so late and so am I.

Until his colleague mentioned to him the other day about possible connection of joint pain with heart problem, then he was more concern. I don't know, hope he will do something about it. Maybe a body check up and scanning to determine the cause of his pain. I am worry about his health.

News from home

If there is anything to surprise me, it would be this. Big J is writing a blog! Yes! His own blog.

He told me over the phone the other night. When asked what content would his blog me, he did not want to tell me. Have to wait till I go back this weekend and check out on his blog. Hmm! He told me before that he would like to create his own blog, maybe on his interests and hobbies but never thought he really get down to it.

Last Saturday Baby Jay was down with tonsilitis. He was brought to see doctor and doctor confirmed it was tonsilitis. Luckily he is getting well now. Make me sick with worry over here. Now I could not wait to go home and check on him! No need to worry too much on Princess, since my SIL is back from hometown. Baby Jay has been put at baby sitter's till I am back. Just wish that Friday would be here fast.....counting down!

One year older today

Big J is one year older today. With him being 32 today, I do not feel older than him. Lol! I am about 2 months older than him, and Big J always make fun of it. Like saying "I am still 31, you already 32, big sister". Yeap, sometimes feel like slapping him for making fun of me. *laugh*

There would be a potluck organised by my SIL tonight to celebrate his birthday. Baby Jay would not be in the plan. You know what I mean. It is not that enjoyable to bring a young baby along and when he cries, you have to "fast-forward" your plan and rushing home. So he will be staying overnight at baby sitter's house tonight. Next year! Next year we will bring him out to celebrate all those birthdays and special occasions together!

Losing 4kgs in a month

Big J has taking diet pills for 1 month and he has lose 4kgs now. Most of his pants are too big and he has to punch few holes on his waist belts to hold the pants. *wink* We are happy and I am glad that he has been persistent in taking the pills.

These diet pills are Taiwan manufactured and one box cost around RM500. Big J needs to take few pills daily and one box lasts a month. I don't have the money to eat and I don't think I need to. So far my weight has gone down to 55.4kg and I can wear some of my pants and skirts. I believe I will lose some more, judging from me taking care of and night feeding my Baby Jay. I still believe keeping fit by exercising, not taking diet pills! Exercise not only makes you lose weight, it also keeps you healthy, fit and happier.

He is slimming down

Since Big J started his diet programme earlier this month, he has lost a few inches on his waist and shield few kilos. He was very excited about the progress and aimed to lose more. Before this, Big J has been complaining of unable to fit into his wardrobe as well as fatigue. He has to buy bigger and bigger size shirts and pants. Now, he is no longer need to buy bigger clothing, but smaller size clothing.

He usually buys his clothing online as he is unable to find his size here. Not only that, it is also great to shop online, as it is easier, faster and has more choices. One of the online shopping website we like to visit is Shopwiki. Just the other night, we bought few pants and shirts for him. We have also bought some winter clothing for his dad who is going to Europe for holiday next month.

I have been telling Big J that it has been awhile since we have our vacation, so we should plan for vacation next year. Probably not Europe as it is way beyond our budget, but a holiday in one of the islands in Malaysia would do. We are thinking of going back to Redang where we had our honeymoon 4 years ago. This time, I must try surfing if we have a chance to go there again next year. We saw a group surfed in Redang previously and how tempted I was to try it out. But first thing first. I must get one surfing board and gear and learn to surf before going there next year.

Bad customer services

I told you that Big J just started his new business this month, right? Everything more or less into the office except for the telephone line. He has still not get his telephone line for his office. And how frustrating he is with the Telekom technician!

Firstly, the technician said he cant find Big J’s office. What an excuse! His office is so easy to find, that you can practically close your eyes and drive into in.

Secondly, the technician said he only know where is the car fixing shop, but couldn’t see Big J’s office. And when Big J replied him that his office is just behind the car fixing shop, the technician hung up on him! How rude!!!

Thirdly, Big J is definitely going to Telekom branch to make complain about the services and telephone lines on Monday as it has been over 2 weeks and nothing has been done yet!!

Talking about customer services and quality!

Not easy in this time of crisis

Said that I am both excited yet anxious about Big J’s new venture (or probably I should say “re-venture”) into business. He is partnering with a friend in outsourcing company. The new office is more or less ready with forms and equipment for the operation, only problem is that currently not enough staff to kick off next week.

Big J is complaining that it is pretty hard to convince people to work on commission based although the deal is better than fixed salary plus commission based. I guess with the current economy, everyone is looking for something more stable and fixed rather than fluctuating income. Irregardless of insufficient staff, he will still conduct training tomorrow and proceed with the operation next week. Just hope that this time it would be a good business venture. Big J has been through tough venture in the past and what a big shit he has to suffer from it. Pray that this time, it is the right choice!

Catching up with Facebook

My beloved Big J has started to show interest in Facebook lately and every morning after he wakes up and every night after comes back from work, the first thing he does would be logging in to Facebook! And does he addict to it right away!

I am not complaining about his new hobby, but am glad that he shows some interest in it. Why? He spending less time outside, and indirectly spending less money too. So, ladies out there if your hubby is addicted to any online games, chat or Facebook of any sort, do encourage them to do so. You never know how much you can get them from straying outside. *wink*

From Facebook, Big J met his old classmates and college mates and boy, he is so excited to keep in touch with them after all these years. He was a student council President during his college day, so he met a lot of international students from other countries. Now most of his friends are residing or working overseas. What a way to catch up with long lost friends.

He is at it again

Big J used to control his drinking habit but now he is back to drinking after many years of trying. I guess old habits never change. Since started his new job in June this year, he spends most of the nights with his colleagues. And when men usually go after office hours?? Pub or café drinking and chatting!

It worries me a lot as he is gaining much weight now. The body is expanding sideway and the tummy! Oh dear! Look like he is 5 months pregnant. It is a concern on his health as he is way passed the healthy level, according to doctor. If Big J doesn’t do anything about his habit and weight, he may have some health problem soon.

To encourage him to lose some weight, I usually persuade him to go for tennis games, now that we are crazy about tennis again. And for his Christmas present, I bought him a new tennis racket since the current one is broken. If we not up to tennis game, we may opt for a swim in the evening. As you know that both activities depend much on the weather, we hardly been able to do much as it almost rain every day.

And guess what! Big J is into line dancing now these days! He has been taking up lesson for many weeks, he told me recently. Want to give me a surprise he said. Lol! A colleague teaches him and others to dance poco-poco in the office after office hour. He is so crazy about dancing that he burn the songs and even want to teach me to dance. Dancing is never my field but it is kind of fun dancing around the house with the Indonesian poco-poco song at the background. Lol!

If you ask me to choose, I would rather having him dancing in office and come back late than drinking the night away.

Thinking for a perfect present

When it comes to present, I hate thinking of what to buy. Nothing seemed good, especially when the present is meant for the loved one. You get what I mean?

Big J’s birthday is coming up next month, and I have yet plan to buy anything for him. For the past years, either I bought him a wallet, belt or shirt, or treat him to a nice Western 3-course dinner but I am planning of getting something different for him.

He did indicated that he planned to get new wallet for himself as his current one not in good condition. Some part of the wallet is torn due to many loose papers and ringgit notes stacked. LOL! How come his wallets spoiled so fast? I think he keeps changing his wallet almost once a year, mine still can last longer than that!!!

Hmm, what should I get for him? I want something different for him this year. Anyone can give me some tips? What do you get for your hubby on his birthday?

Paint Attack!

Big J has gone to Santubong on one fine Sunday afternoon. Not for a swim at the beautiful Santubong or Damai beaches, mind you, but to play paintball. Initially I was envy of him for having so much fun and me staying with Little J at home, but after seeing him with all those paints on his shirts and pants, I had second thought. Believe me, it is painful being shot by the pellets.

Few paintball enthusiastic friends gathered together that day and divided into 2 groups. With paintball gun and loaded with colour pellets in their arms, they ran into the juggle and headed to the battlefield. Big J was complaining regardless of the fun, it was challenging and dangerous to crawl and walk into the jungle as some paths were rather slippery. Big J tripped on one occasion resulted on him having bruises all over his body.

After many rounds of pellets flying all over the places, the emerging champion was Big J’s team. His team won but Big J got his share of paints as he was attacked by 2 enemies at the final tie. His first time playing paintball, but Big J said he would love to play another game next time. It is not just an attack and defense game, according to him, but about team work and survival in the jungle. When he reached home that evening, he was too tired that he did not have energy to take bath and almost crawl to bed. Let’s say he is lethargic till he just wants to do or eat nothing. That night, he slept like a baby till the next morning without a stir.

It's Sunday!

Yes, Big J is coming back today. I miss him a lot! ;p

Big J is having good time in Redang since Friday, having a training there. When mention the name Redang, it reminded me of our honeymoon in 2005. How times flied! I miss Redang very much, its beautiful ocean, sandy beach and the wild nature surrounding the island. We are making a pledge to visit Redang someday, maybe bringing our children together and showing them the place where their parents having their honeymoon. *wink* Maybe a 2nd honeymoon?

On the run

Big J will be on the run for a week, so me and Little J would not be seeing him much. He will be going to KL on 27th, attending a costume party organized by his company the next evening. Isn’t it fun? Costume party is not that common here. I understand costume-rental companies in West Malaysia are making good money by renting their costumes to customers, as costume party cum dinner is pretty happening.

Big J will be going as Chow Yun Fat’s character in Pirates of the Caribbean, as the theme for the night is pirate night. Hope he remember to take photographs of himself as I told him to show me his makeover in the pirate suit. *wink*

Then on 29th he will be flying back, but will be flying again on 3 July to attend team building in Redang! Gosh! Now I am jealous. *laugh*

Nervous than him

Big J going to have a presentation for his next week interview in Ampang. I was very excited for him! At the same time, nervous about his interview. No matter what is the outcome, I would always stand by him and support his decision.
His topic would be "Managing Sales". Been good with public speaking, I have confidence in him, but when come to preparing for the presentation, I need to take charge here! He is required to prepare powerpoint for the topic. Big J is not a computer widget! He used computer for entertainment purposes only. Used it to watch DVD or play computer games! LOL!
So, you see I am more nervous than him. It looks like I am the one that going for the interview. I have been busy sourcing for points and ideas for his topic via websites. So far, not much sources (maybe I didnt go to the right websites). Nevertheless, marketing is a common sense matter, just need to add some senses to it! :)
Need to get down to work tonight. Better get the powerpoint ready otherwise I would not be able to enjoy my weekend with him nagging down my neck, begging me to help him type. As matter of fact, he is not a good typist. One alphabet would take 2 - 3 seconds of his time! LOL!
